As with everything, practice moderation. If you can, hire a human to do it. But if YOU couldn’t afford to hire a human to do the task, then don't complain about someone else using AI to do it. You can’t have it both ways 🤷

Idk if this is a hot take or not, but I think it's silly to strip tools out of the hands of people who would otherwise never be able to do the things they now can with generative AI. Just be sure to use it as a tool, not a crutch.

You can also run image generating AI natively on your own hardware.

AI art will never be as good or as appreciated as real human art. But it will also never be as expensive.

I recommend anyone that wants to use LLMs and LAMs do so by downloading GPT4ALL off github so you can run these generative AIs natively on your own hardware rather than using chat gpt or w.e that uses vast amounts of resources to run.

This is NOT to say that we should all just be frivolously using AI for menial tasks. This is to say that generative AI is a tool that people can use if they’re not financially able to pay a human to do it.

If I could afford to hire a computer programmer to write code for me, I would. But until I’m rich, im going to use the LLM running natively on my PC to write all the tedious coding idk how to do.

I’m certain that pretty much every person that uses some sorta generative AI for art would prefer a handmade piece of art made by a human, but the reality is we are all broke af and being able to buy art is a luxury.

The people complaining about others being cheap for using generative AI instead of hiring an artist are the same people complaining that everything is too expensive and that the working class doesn't get paid enough for a livable wage.

Although it feels like everyone is against each other, we have to collectively recognize that is what the powers that be want in order to maintain their control over us. It's all too easy to give into the desire to lash out at those we feel may have harmed us either directly or indirectly. Stop that

Everyone, I beg of you, stop treating anyone different than you as an enemy. Stop worrying so much about what is in someone's pants and worry instead about if that person needs help or if they are taken care of.

Fellas, I beg of you, please do better at making sure that the ladies in your life are treated with the respect, kindness, and care that every human deserves. Don't give up trying to help those that are less fortunate or just different than you.

Ladies, I beg of you, please try not to default to cruelty and anger. I know it's easy and feels satisfying to hurt those that have hurt you, but this isn't the solution you think it is.

the suicide rate among guys in 2022 was approximately four times higher than the rate among ladies. Guys make up 50% of the population but nearly 80% of suicides. This is the unfortunate reality of the current state of the world.

As of March 2024, the gender wage gap was 16%, meaning ladies earn 84 cents for every dollar earned by fellas. This needs to be fixed, as well as MANY other differences in social/societal structures.

We need to do better, all of us. Biting the hand that is being extended to lift you up is not the solution. But we can’t give up extending that hand no matter how many times it gets bit.

I mostly see the opposite. It's practically my entire news feed these days. It's frustrating to want to help in any and every way possible only to get spite, malice, and humiliation in return. I genuinely want gender equality in every way, but that doesn't mean you treat the other like they’re less.

It seems self-destructive and counterproductive to recognize that guys:

A.) Still have more control
B.) Still have more power
C.) Still have their voices heard more

Yet there is a huge lack of attempt by ladies to work together with men to improve the conditions of their lives.

I can’t really blame ladies for wanting to lash out and be cruel because for most (basically all) of recorded history we've lived in patriarchal societies and cultures dominated by guys. However, I believe we should be kind to each other by default rather than spiteful and cruel.
