Finn knows Rey - he loves her - and I think he sees her pain and feels it too.

Rey has just returned from the Battle of Exegol, she is covered in blood and has tears in her eyes as she tries to smile.

Even before the recent comic “confirmed” it, I always believed Ben was happy here to make things right & bring Rey back.

Even if he didn’t make it, he was still at peace knowing he brought back Rey, his equal in the dyad, because he resonated with her, & she likewise had reminded him of the light.

This is probably the happiest moment in his whole life

He didn't have a super bad homelife, but he was always troubled by and interred with from outside F/forces

This moment was the first time he was free and seen.
