I agree 👍. De Palma adored Hitchcock and did a very similar scene in Dressed To Kill, the Psycho remake. The museum with Angie Dickinson and the guy - I think worked better. Vertigo is terrific, yet I can almost here someone in the theater reassuring a viewer, "Don't worry, it MOVES after this..."

This is one of the few Duvall roles I didn't much like; he typically played good-hearted characters with lots of depth.

Here, he's just a corporate animal...

Good stuff! Vertigo's oddity is that it bombed in theaters; Hitch blamed it on Stewart for being "too old". Huh-Who?!?

It bombed, then, because of its slow start and the rock & roll drive-in kids had no patience for it. Once you get past the boring driving scenes - Vertigo is astonishingly great.

I'd vote for ya's, Kat, but am in NE Ohio. I think the Great State of Illinois should make an exception, though:
