In a weird way, it felt like Crane wanted to get rid of both of them as soon as reasonable.

Like he only gave Dusty 1 extra year to avoid a PR disaster.

But I'm still baffled why Crane didn't just keep Click and Dusty around for at least another 2 seasons after the WS.

I for one thought Dusty was a great manager, and found it baffling we couldn't keep him and Click together longer term.

But our feelings for him should exist separate to our feelings for Joe.

The season didn't go the way anyone wanted, but I'm very much looking forward to the 2026 season.

So I figured even a normally healthy team could only win 87 games

that we'll get no worse than 1 fewer win than 87, with the extraordinary injuries we've sustained, I think is proof positive that Espada did some things correctly

and overall was a net positive as a manager

Espada's performance must be viewed in what your expectations were for this season

and not to brag but I was pretty spot on with my prediction of 87 wins back in late December '24
