It feels really satisfying to build something like this using Go, I've really fell in love with the language. Using it occasionally at work, when I can, but this project I'm hoping to put some proper time and dedication into in my personal time.

Starting work on a new game in Go. I want to end up releasing at some point, so hopefully I remember to post updates here occasionally :)

KDE still seems to lend itself very well to customisation. And of course there's Hyprland, i3, DWM, etc...

Honestly, I'm a big fan of Minecraft on the Deck. Download Prism Launcher in Desktop Mode through Discover, set up a basic modded Minecraft instance with Fabric and a controller support mod, and it plays wonderfully. Very cozy too.

I didn't get my switch until maybe a year or two ago now, really late to the party. And even then, it was bought secondhand from a friend of mine at uni.

It's a good little device, but ever since I got my Steam Deck it's just kinda gathered dust unfortunately.

On the current deployment, there’s not much to see, but I’m working on a blog component where I make pretty heavy use of both, which will hopefully be done soon.

Well alpine for some client-side interactivity, and HTMX for fetching some components post-page load to improve initial page load, and to also emulate SPA in a MPA.

This is one of my biggest gripes of Go, coming from a generic-heavy language like Rust. Now, I love Go more than Rust at the moment, but one thing that annoys me is that structs cannot have generic methods. It really restricts some of the use cases.
