@searchliaison.bsky.social It's increasingly common for enterprise sites to show different links/filters for Googlebot than users, hiding links to noindex pages. Feels like cloaking, but is becoming best practice for directory sites.

Are there instances where hiding things from Googlebot is okay?

Also alarmed to see that user-generated content is considered 3rd party content, that may be SRA depending on the context in which it's used.

I really miss the days when Google would obey noindex directives in robots.txt. Didn't need it often, but when I did it made life so incredibly much easier.
