Literally my first thought. What if Gore won the Supreme Court case and they actually completed a Florida recount?

My last four logged on Letterboxd: Perfect Blue (1997) Hard Boiled (1992) First Blood (1982) La Strada (1954)
#LastFourFriday is back to remind us all that movies are good, and that a back to back duo of First Blood and Hard Boiled is a next level action double feature. Honestly, knowing me, it's a bit surprising that La Strada is the lowest rated here, but that's why we actually watch the movies.

This is a bigger disaster than I think most are realizing. 1500 people have been displaced by the flooding with an exceptionally complicated response and recovery.

16.10.2025 14:33 β π 195 π 114 π¬ 9 π 0I was talking with a friend last night about A House of Dynamite, the new Kathryn Bigelow film about the idea of a rogue nuke being launched at Chicago. And she brought up the RT score in the 80s and the Metacritic score at 80, and did we all watch the same movie? I hated that movie so vigorously!
16.10.2025 15:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm trying to come up with ideas for things that go further than he's already gone. Maybe ordering the Marines into Chicago instead of the National Guard? 12.10.2025 15:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I watched a new movie called The Plague tonight. It's a movie about bullying among middle school-aged boys. I don't think I've ever been triggered by a piece of media before, but this did a number on me.

This week's #LastFourFriday has two great films, two good not great films, two I watched on streaming, and two I watched in theaters. And yet those categories do not line up neatly. Weird how that worked out.
26.09.2025 13:29 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My in-laws could not be more of a stereotype if it was possible. They spent all dinner complaining about how spicy the potatoes were. The potatoes were seasoned with black pepper.
