We live in a society where a woman bumps into a chair and says "I'm sorry" while men rarely utter those same words even when merited.

We do agree. I thought it was a good debate too. The only thing missing for me is how I started this thread: Klein should pen a piece where he admits he was wrong and that Coates's responses shifted his views on the issue.

Coates set up the red line for debate: the need to recognize the humanity in others. I think Klein failed that test when he offered up women's bodily autonomy in exchange for things he clearly cares more about.
