Hey @agu.org - did you take down your "Ethical, Diverse & Just Science" page? When I click, the page is down. AGU has long been a leader in ethical and equitable science, and I wasn't expecting AGU to give into anticipatory obedience (www.aaup.org/news/against...). What's going on?

How Rock Type Shapes River Networks and Influences Landscape Evolution - Eos
A new study in Chile shows how small differences in rock type can drive large differences in erosion, vegetation, and river networks, illuminating the role of mineralogy in shaping landscapes.
Some very cool research on how lithology and vegetation impact landscape morphology was highlighted in Eos! π₯ΉI worked on this with colleagues at the GFZ-Potsdam, Uni Marburg, and University of Chile as part of the Earthshape network ππ«Ά eos.org/editor-highl...

Highlighting the Sediment Cascades workshop in Chile
This blog post is part of our series: βHighlightsβ for which weβre accepting contributions! Please contact one of the GM blog editors, Emily (eb2043@cam.ac.uk) or Emma (elodes@asu.edu), if youβd like ...
Geomorphologists often study climate change impacts without involving local communities in the research. The Sediment Cascades workshop in Chile aimed to combat this through meaningful engagement with community members. New post in @eurogeosciences.bsky.social GM blog! blogs.egu.eu/divisions/gm...

The Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System (CSDMS) - Explore Earth's surface with community software: https://csdms.colorado.edu
The Sedimentary Systems Group at FU Berlin studies how climate change & tectonic activity reshapes Earthβs surface by combining geomorphology and sedimentology to trace sediment & biomarkers from mountain rivers to the deep ocean.
