sidenote, the way renewing EBT works is stupid
you have to submit documents for review (normal), but then, for some reason, you ALSO have to call to let them KNOW you've submitted documents for review, or they won't review them.

yesterday was my birthday but i forgot to say that lol

yesterday was my birthday and i had a really good day!!! got to hang out with one of my closest friends

we got lunch and then went to see a movie neither of us had seen before (inception) and it was really good!

Like, I ACTUALLY got sick enough times during my 7-ish month stay at the previous shelter, that I genuinely lost count of them.

The air here is way cleaner though, which is nice. I haven't really felt sick since getting to the new shelter, which is extremely refreshing. I caught some kind of cold or something an average of at least once per month at the previous shelter, and that's not me being hyperbolic.

It's... better and worse? Even LESS privacy than the last place, to the point where I've started going to the library near-every day in order to get art-related work done. We don't even have rooms, it's just like a big warehouse full of beds.

As for the new shelter, I should be able to stay here indefinitely, according to my case manager. I just have to make sure to communicate with my CM and meet the goals we set during meetings.

I've also been running into some annoyances trying to renew my EBT. I think at this point I'll have to reapply from scratch, which is annoying, but whatever.
