Two more skreks look rather alarmed and the painting culprits (a cloth rogue, a beanbag cat and a cloth craa) admire their work next to a human sized paint brush covered in paint. Three cloth goblins survey the scene. They look unimpressed.
Miniatures so simple they almost paint themselves!
Though maybe you could give them a wee bit of help ๐ซ๐ค๐จ

Painted miniatures of a purplish cloth troll with floppy black ears, a pale belly and a big axe and a blue cloth dug with floppy black ears and a pale belly as well. They have been splattered with very thin light grey paint and brown wash, using a toothbrush, to give a textured effect.
A cloth troll and a cloth dug.
Like how dog owners sometimes look like their dogs.

Immediately before I took this video of a honking raven, there was another raven in the tree replying to the honks with a miaow. It sounded like a human saying miaow.
That would have been a much better video.
This was in December, pre-raven vanishing.
I'm pretty sure over the past year there were more ravens than there'd been in the past. Maybe I'd just noticed them more, but they're pretty hard to miss when they're constantly honking. I don't remember so much honking before last year.
But now everyone's gone!
Five miniatures of cloth creatures stand on top of a mossy wall with the low, winter, midday sun on their faces and trees in the background. There is a cloth doll wearing a green hooded coat, a grey beanbag cat, a cloth old woman wearing a grey dress, a green head scarf and a white apron, a grey cloth troll with a beige belly and a cloth doll wearing an orange dress and a green hat.
All the ravens have left the woods. There were loads of ravens honking at each other all the time, but since the middle of January - nothing. Not a single honk.
Where are all the ravens?
(Imagine this photo but instead of cloth toys it's me looking for missing ravens)
A photo of the cracked surface on the side of a big concrete block, with moss growing in the cracks that look a bit like the streets of a city map.
City map or mossy concrete?

Miniatures of cloth creatures on a mossy mound with the moon (lamp) behind them. There are two cloth wolves, three peerie woos (that look like cloth wolf cubs) and two twills o' the wisp, that are small winged cloth creatures a bit like fairies.
It's a full moon tonight ๐
If you know where to look, you might spot some cloth creatures out in the wild.
Why not try here first? ๐

Put a blog post up about the spincasting system I built a couple of months ago.

I was influenced by @theworstrhino.bsky.social and now these little dudes from @statuesque.bsky.social are my new best friends.

Miniatures of cloth goblins with spears and wooden shields (one goblin had a sword and a door knocker shield) and a cloth troll, seen through a stone doorway.
Anyone want some cloth goblins? A cloth troll maybe?

With only four holes-for-eyes and one mouth between them, the Ghosts of Yellowfield House are a truly labour-saving set of miniatures.
Not feet either! ๐ซ๐ฆถ

Found these photos from ages ago.
No eyes or holes for eyes are the most rational responses to eyes on miniatures.
One day I'll replace all the heads I sell with holes for eyes heads and watch sales soar.
Two miniatures of cloth wolves. One is howling and has a pale beige chest and head with a pale brown body. The other is growling with its teeth showing and has a pale brown body and head and a pale beige chest. Miniatures of a cloth doll wearing a green hooded coat and a grey beanbag cat look on.
I said I was going to do some dark patterns on the backs of these cloth wolves, but I didn't really feel like it in the end.
I just wanted to apply paint, not think about where to apply paint.

Here is an example, it's a goblin who is being a spider.
Work in progress painted miniatures to two cloth wolves. They have been primed dark brown and one is howling with a pale belly and head; the other is growling with a pale belly and a light brown head and body.
Not much to show yet, but I've actually done some painting for the first time in months! ๐บ๐๏ธ
They'll both be the pale brown, with dark patterns down their backs. Haven't decided how I'll do the patterns.
Was hoping it would be a bit less rough on my shoulder, but it's still nice to get back to it.
