I feel like this shouldn't be a hot take but it 100% is apparently: Good Will Hunting is a cringe movie that has not held up well at all. The screenplay is bad and not even two of the greats like Stellan Skarsgård and Robin Williams can salvage that trainwreck.

Ultimately this comes down to the format of the original series contrasted with what Star Wars was about --namely chapters of a single intergalactic conflict and dynastic family struggle. TOS was like how do we keep you interested in between Bewitched and Bonanza.

The biggest difference between the Star Trek and Star Wars universe is the vastness of space and spatial sprawl. Star Wars feels like it's set in "a galaxy far far away" only because the text told you so.... The audience sees like 5 planets that matter. Star Trek is endless exploration & wonder.

I think there's a grave need for IT spaces like bike shops. So much that's wrong with tech has been rooted in displacement of administration of services into large corporations and closed ecosystems. Facebook is big not because it's good but because websites and email are so hard.

Please wear protective gear and cover up as much as possible. The sides of your skull and eyes are incredibly dangerous areas and rubber bullets and ballistics will kill you. They will aim them to hurt you and fire them toward the crowds. C4 feels bad but I've had worse menstrual cycles tbh.

They will most likely prevent ambulances or medical personnel from approaching downtown. There are a lot of ways to help people who are actively protesting like providing milk or liquids to rinse eyes or carrying/driving them to hospital. Wear gas masks that work for C4 and shields for your eyes.

During 2020 when I protested outside the white house, the national guard just sat in tanks. This time they might use them. The black masked, unlabeled military police did advance though and it took me more than a year to fully recover from brain damage. I am worried for DC right now. Time to fight.
