A banana or an apple may seem like an easy thing to eat but they are too big to just snack on quickly so my brain makes them into a big task which means I don't actually eat them. Plus I would never choose them over a cookie or chocolate, so I can't have it be a choice.

One of the biggest "hacks" I have found to get myself to eat more fruit is to just buy ready-to-eat small fruit like grapes or berries and have them washed in a bowl in the kitchen so I can just eat a handful over the kitchen sink whenever I go to the kitchen.
