And that’s the 2024/25 school year finished!

We hope everyone has a fantastic, relaxing and safe summer holidays and we look forward to seeing everyone again in September☀️

Throughout the year, Giant Pandas have listened to 39 weeks of music genres and each day have listened (and danced) to a song from that genre and rated them.

On the last week, Y4 re-listened and re-scored the highest 5 songs and their winner was...

Centuries by Fall Out Boy🎶

Giant Pandas opened the time capsules that they made on their transition day into Year 4 over a year ago! The children saw how much they had grown, what they wrote about themselves and a photo of their slightly younger selves.

Mrs Taylor took our winning team flag designs and created something well beyond our imagination. What talent she has. Thank you from everyone at Beverley Minster CE Primary. These will be proudly displayed for the winning team each week. We have such supportive parents!

A huge thank you to Mrs Hiebert for making a Minster Mouse for every Y6 leaver. It's something they'll treasure with love.

Congratulations to these three talented girls. They're our winners of Minster's Got Talent (KS1) this year. Very hard decision as there were so many brilliant acts and such a lot of positive energy this year. Well done everyone!

On Monday, we had the pleasure of watching KS2's Minster's Got Talent.

A huge well done to all the acts, what a brave thing to do! We're now all looking forward to seeing what KS1 have in store for us🌟

Our wonderful choir performed to the rest of the school this week, they were fantastic!

A big thank you to Mrs Ashby and Mr Poyser on the piano.

Well done to this talented pair who wowed the Minster's Got Talent judges with their singing this afternoon. They had some amazing competition which made the judging very difficult. We're looking forward to the Key Stage One/EYFS final on Friday.

Giant Pandas had their last session of the academic year with the mental health team. Today, we focused on teamwork and how important it is to support those around you and communicate.

We're very proud of Elijah. He has been busy raising money for the 2 Wish charity at the Leeds Comic Con. Together with the Mos Eisley Misfits, they raised over £270 pounds to support families who have experienced the sudden or unexpected loss of a child.

Some of our Koalas class have been very helpful weeding and planting seeds.

Giant Pandas loved being creative in science today as they created their own panpipes. This help us learn about changes in pitch as part of our 'sound' topic🎵

A special shout out and thank you to our AMAZING sports leaders this year.

You were photographers, organised the equipment, handed out stickers and supported the younger children from start to finish - we couldn't have done it without you!

What a perfect day for Sports Day! The children were amazing and showed true perseverance, determination and teamwork. It was amazing to see everyone cheering on their houses! A special well done to Yellow Team for their win this year💛🏆

Giant Pandas enjoyed their next tennis session🎾

Giant Pandas planned out their own science experiment today, answering the question ‘what happens to sound the further away it’s gets?’

Each group worked superbly together and focused on making sure their experiment was a fair test.

Giant Pandas had the best time at the Animal Education Centre at East Park!

We spent the day looking around the zoo, dancing with a cockatoo, cooing at a baby squirrel monkey and carrying out some orienteering, all before enjoying the huge park in the sunshine!🦜☀️

Giant Pandas have been busy with their sound topic in science. We carried out an experiment to investigate which materials absorb sound the most effectively.

Everyone worked brilliantly in their groups, enjoyed being outside and playing music too🎶

Year 4, 5 and 6 have begun their tennis coaching sessions for this half term🎾

Giant Pandas had their half termly visit with the Mental Health team and continued looking at the '5 Ways to Wellbeing'.

This time, we focused on 'Keep Learning' and discussed and explored different ways we could manage our emotions.

Giant Pandas began their sound topic and investigated different ways we can see the vibrations that cause different sounds🎶🥁

Giant Pandas have loved their electricity topic this term⚡

Some of our Year 4 children went to Longcroft this week and took part in the golf event. They were amazing! The teamwork, the sportsmanship and the skill - wow!

Our Year 5 and Year 6 classes have spent weeks learning and practising their High School Musical inspired dance routines, thanks to Flex Dance, and we had the pleasure of watching their amazing performances.

Giant Pandas made the most of the sunshine today and completed their maths activities outside☀️

This term, Giant Pandas are learning all about the Ancient Greeks and have taken part in a whole class debate: Was life better if you lived in Sparta or Athens?

The children did some great research and took the debate very seriously🇬🇷
