There's a deep joy I keep discovering as I write the third book in my Dragonstorm Trilogy. Part of it is because I know I'm writing a series only I can write, but also because its coming at a time I finally know what that means. And it is joyous.

My son is now able to tell me how much he misses me before he goes to school and once when he gets home. It is very hard to tell him that I miss him too when I honestly despise being without him. The hardest part of parenthood is wanting them to grow and not grow at all.

Lots of editing, outlining, but working on one particular novel's rough has been an absolute ride. There are things you don't realize about the first book of a series until you're writing the final book in the series, and figuring out all these little pieces is fun.
