after one angel inevitably collapses from exhaustion and feeling weaken with a broken fading halo, the other angel, holding her half broken but solid halo, kneels down to her head and picks up her face by the bloodily nostrils using her middle and ring finger to laugh and taunt her for losing to her

I like the idea of two angels engaged in combat to such an extreme degree that they ran out of weapons, both bloodily and bruised, hot and panting, and what they do left is charging towards each other, grabbing their haloes, and smashing the haloes against one another to see which halo shatters

for the higher angels, their halo will only shift slightly, the ring gaining a few pointed ends but still can scatter any lower angel’s battle sigil if the two’s haloes would collide

though some angels specialize into making their sigils more complex whether to achieve a specific function or not

and for the angels with a wavering conviction, the sigil lines become more wavy and blurry, melting in the way water colors would

their weapons would differ greatly, but personally would have a hard light in the shape of a spear

maybe even their wings would grow a bit to seem more intimidating

I like to imagine an angel’s halo will change shape into a battle sigil when needed

It goes from a soft glow into a radiating heat, rounded outlines into harsher edges, and its levitation gravity becomes much stronger

probably less sensitivity too so grabbing it with your hand isn’t a weakness

my tummy isn’t exactly happy with my walk today
