Nice one mate. I keep meaning to get on the planets, but the clouds, deep sky and the comet keep distracting me. ๐

08.10.2025 07:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0All other sub sets gave been spoiled, so no animation of the movement in the comet particles this time. It'll be about for a while, so may be better once the Moon wanes.

07.10.2025 09:41 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That was a very challenging morning, battling the clouds and the full Moon. Here's a quick process. Now, I want to see if I have any other good subs to make an animation. I'll be a while...

01.10.2025 05:44 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The great thing about reprocessing and comparing old images is that you can spot something you've never known existed. Here's Brocchi's Cluster, the Coathanger with some faint, blue reflection nebulae just above it.

29.09.2025 08:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Getting much deeper into The Bat Nebula with almost five and a half hours of data. I need a whole lot more to really bring the Squid Nebula out. Onwards and upwards.

Thanks Chris.
27.09.2025 21:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I managed a few subs between the clouds last night and added them to some taken in December last year. This is the Bat & Squid Nebula in Cepheus. The Squid is just starting to appear. I've found my next project. ๐

23.09.2025 18:19 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cheers Martin. Good to see you briefly on Saturday.
23.09.2025 07:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Tonight, I added more data, bringing the total to 14 hours of data to help improve this image.
22.09.2025 23:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I captured more data tonight to add to yesterday's Messier 33 image. ๐
22.09.2025 22:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Another image taken last night, showing the Ha regions in Messier 33, the Triangulum Galaxy. I'll try and add a bit more data to this tonight.
22.09.2025 17:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I managed to take almost another 3 hours of data on this area of sky last night, so this is now almost 10 hours of data collected over 4 separate nights. It still needs a bit more, so it is an ongoing project.
22.09.2025 06:29 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Despite the bright Moon, I managed to capture another two hours of the area around reflection nebula vdB 152 in Cepheus. Everything is now starting to lift out of the background. This is nearly six hours. I'm hoping to add a few more hours to this yet.
05.09.2025 06:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I managed to capture another hour of data to add to this ongoing and gradually improving image tonight. Hopefully, there will be a lot more to add to it in the coming weeks.
03.09.2025 22:00 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I managed to stack another 30 minutes of data to my image taken last night. Reprocess, I managed to remove a horrible gradient that made me crop the left-hand side of the image in the original post.
01.09.2025 10:08 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Four and a half hours of data captured for this tonight. I'll try and add some more another night to see how much more I can tease out of this faint nebula. The bright blue area is the reflection nebula vdB152.

Now that is very interesting.
Superimposing the flipped image of the Whirlpool Galaxy on itself and changing the layer to difference. It obliterates most of the galaxy, showing just how symmetrical those spiral arms are.
