This is another image taken last night. It is part of NGC 7822 in Cepheus. I managed to capture 20x 300-second exposures before it started to get murky around 2 a.m. Considering the bright Moon, I wasn't expecting that much, but it's turned out OK.

There's a faint comet in Hercules at the moment. This is Comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS), sporting quite a nice tail. Stacking exactly on the comet's position was challenging, hence the wobbly star trails.

How technology has changed this amazing hobby. This image of Messier 31, The Andromeda Galaxy, was taken last night by a SeeStar S30. Despite the virtually full Moon, it has really handled this well. I did do some post-processing on the SeeStars stacked image.

A bit of an experiment in the early hours last night, trying to bring out the Hydrogen Alpha regions in Messier 31, The Andromeda Galaxy. One to try properly once we get proper dark nights back.

Last night was another great night of imaging until 4am. Here are a few faint Hydrogen Alpha regions.

There was also a lot of faint, dusty stuff available for imaging in Ha last night.

It was another reasonable night for imaging last night, until it got murky.
This is the Pacman Nebula in Cassiopeia, with a close-up of the central region.

I have produced an animatd GIF showing the supernova in NGC7331 compared to an image I took in September 2021:

Another one from last night. NGC 7308, The Wizard Nebula. I only managed to capture 10 subs before the clouds rolled in.

A colour image of NGC7331 taken by the Schools' Observatory. Two stretches, one to highlight supernova and the other for the fainter spiral arms.

40 million years ago, a star in a distant galaxy (NGC7331 in Perseus) came to an extremely dramatic end of life as a supernova. We are only just starting to see this now as the light races past us. It's been cloudy for ages, so I used the Schools' Observatory to capture this image.

Before it went all misty on July 12th, I managed to capture one sub of colour data to blend with my Ha image taken in September 2023. Those cosmic pillars are just amazing.
More to be captured very soon.

I had a cracking all-nighter last night. Well, it's not very long at this time of year. I failed to capture the solar system interloper yet again! But I was pleased to get more stonking Cyngus nebulosity. As the sky brightened, I swapped cameras to capture Saturn. Now very tired, but satisfied. ๐Ÿ˜

Looking at the original captures, I can only see a movement between these two images, so looks like I did fail in the end. Hopefully I'll catch it next time, but the bright Moon will make it more challenging over the next week or so.

I know I'm grasping at straws here, but I may have (JUST) caught the solar system interloper two nights ago.

I tried and failed to capture the solar system interloper last night. I think I was pointing the scope at the correct part of the sky.๐Ÿคฃ I'll be better armed from now on as I've got more details and added maps to my blog to help find it.
