The arrogance of a Senator who is not even running again to take the lead in undermining the Caucus and the voters.

Primary every Dem Senator that just caved to Trump.

We’re not going to “fix the Democrats’ brand” by doing TikToks or launching pods. The brand is a direct reflection of our elected officials. If we want to purge our weak branding, we have to purge the weak Dems. I’m looking forward to a robust primary cycle and new Democrats who know how to fight.

What was the point of shutting down the government only for the Democrats to cave? A useless party!

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

How do you make this your central demand for 40 days and then just let it go

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

What’s extra shameful is Warner doesn’t even need to fly anywhere so he’s doing this at behest of his donors.

I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

From the DNC Chair to Chuck Schumer to Hakeem Jeffries to Democratic governors, the vast majority of Dem politicians strongly oppose this deal. This is a small group of cowards who betrayed their party and tens of millions of Americans who are about to lose their health care.

Not seen a single House D or potential 2028 D support this. They must be the D's who want a future.

My patients whose chronic brain disease has deadly symptoms only relieved by care they *won’t get* without the ACA subsidies @democrats.senate.gov surrender on will be delighted to know of Dems’ “victory”.
And they will forever hate every pol & pundit who tells them to believe it, much less like it.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

Every Democratic senator who votes for this should be primaried.

Unacceptable. There are 189,000 people in my district who will be paying 50–300% more for the same, and in many cases worse, healthcare.

I won’t do that to the people I represent. I’m a NO on this “deal.”
