Caving on a deal that doesnβt fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.
Hold the line. Save health care. Iβm a NO on anything that doesnβt extend ACA subsidies.

The reason people think the Democratic Party doesn't actually stand for anything is because it doesn't.
10.11.2025 03:27 β π 2826 π 538 π¬ 86 π 26Might you have missed some of the depth of Tuesday's results, beyond the big headline races?
I'd been watching roughly 200 races heading into Election Day, so here's a thread of some of what you don't want to skip over!
π§΅
Donβt fall for this shit. Primary every single one of them
10.11.2025 03:28 β π 959 π 204 π¬ 9 π 8In a normal democracy, a total collapse of party leadership would result in an no-confidence vote and immediate snap elections to find leaders who can lead
10.11.2025 03:18 β π 5234 π 1221 π¬ 73 π 41Millions of Democratic voters on Tuesday: Fight these guys. Fight them.
Senate Democrats: We heard you loud and clear and we will give in
The arrogance of a Senator who is not even running again to take the lead in undermining the Caucus and the voters.
10.11.2025 02:43 β π 5903 π 1446 π¬ 318 π 78Primary every Dem Senator that just caved to Trump.
10.11.2025 03:14 β π 3223 π 639 π¬ 158 π 37Weβre not going to βfix the Democratsβ brandβ by doing TikToks or launching pods. The brand is a direct reflection of our elected officials. If we want to purge our weak branding, we have to purge the weak Dems. Iβm looking forward to a robust primary cycle and new Democrats who know how to fight.
10.11.2025 03:22 β π 4549 π 993 π¬ 245 π 53We are being led by absolute cowards
10.11.2025 03:16 β π 4189 π 718 π¬ 116 π 34What was the point of shutting down the government only for the Democrats to cave? A useless party!
10.11.2025 03:22 β π 37 π 6 π¬ 2 π 0My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)
They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.
The Senate Democrats!
How do you make this your central demand for 40 days and then just let it go
10.11.2025 02:32 β π 826 π 147 π¬ 6 π 11The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. Itβs about peopleβs lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
Whatβs extra shameful is Warner doesnβt even need to fly anywhere so heβs doing this at behest of his donors.
10.11.2025 02:30 β π 42 π 6 π¬ 1 π 1This right here.
10.11.2025 01:23 β π 8628 π 2170 π¬ 243 π 65I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them
10.11.2025 00:40 β π 9165 π 1788 π¬ 215 π 138Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didnβt like waiting in line at the airport.

Official statement from @jamestalarico.bsky.social on shutdown negotiations
10.11.2025 00:17 β π 1706 π 381 π¬ 11 π 27From the DNC Chair to Chuck Schumer to Hakeem Jeffries to Democratic governors, the vast majority of Dem politicians strongly oppose this deal. This is a small group of cowards who betrayed their party and tens of millions of Americans who are about to lose their health care.
10.11.2025 02:13 β π 3029 π 731 π¬ 123 π 42Not seen a single House D or potential 2028 D support this. They must be the D's who want a future.
10.11.2025 01:20 β π 2544 π 421 π¬ 44 π 9My patients whose chronic brain disease has deadly symptoms only relieved by care they *wonβt get* without the ACA subsidies @democrats.senate.gov surrender on will be delighted to know of Demsβ βvictoryβ.
And they will forever hate every pol & pundit who tells them to believe it, much less like it.
I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.
This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.
Every Democratic senator who votes for this should be primaried.
10.11.2025 00:16 β π 484 π 110 π¬ 20 π 7Unacceptable. There are 189,000 people in my district who will be paying 50β300% more for the same, and in many cases worse, healthcare.
I wonβt do that to the people I represent. Iβm a NO on this βdeal.β
Fuck these people.
