The research of Dr. Gladys West, who died Jan. 17 at 95, laid the groundwork for the GPS.

Thanks in part to her, anyone with a smartphone can navigate easily from one place to the next, without having to stop to ask for directions.

… As a zombie series, there are violent encounters with zombies. But there is much more, and the zombies are more in the background in this film. There are some particularly violent set pieces, but the real violence is the actions of some characters. It is an excellent cast in an excellent film.
