Anyone who abhors the murder of Carlie Kirk - or Melissa Hortman - or any one of dozens killed through political violence in the last 10 years - who also rewards men like Trump with their vote and support- is just as culpable and those who pulled the trigger.

Murder to settle disagreements is older than the idea we can settle them through talk and compromise. That more nobler approach is only possible if we all work to make it possible. And rewarding those who demonize their fellow citizens with positions of power destroys it for all of us.
