A very old (35-40 years) Tenmille Products 16mm scale model of a Glyn Valley brake van. The guard is of a similar vintage, from an early range of Bachmann G scale figures. The head is from a US style brakesman and the body originally had a head wearing a trilby hat.

The term 'Fall' for Autumn possibly started in Sussex before the 1500s, initially known as 'Harvest' due to the falling of leaves and fruits.
'Autumn' gained popularity in the mid-1600s, yet 'Fall' remained and was introduced to North America by followers of William Penn(sylvania).

Tywyn Wharf itself is believed to be the first inter-rail transhipment yard in the World, with the slate carried down from Bryneglwys Quarry in narrow gauge waggons being emptied into their standard gauge counterparts to be taken to port at Aberdyfi for export, or carried...

Today the standard gauge wagon was lifted into place alongside Tywyn Wharf edge, with the help of Network Rail.
We are devastated to hear about the passing of our dear friend Timothy West.
Timothy was a great supporter of the Talyllyn Railway, having first come across the Railway in 1949 on a walking tour and later re-introduced to the now preserved line by his good friend Tom Rolt.
Look at our fancy new handle, now you definitely know we're legit!
