Honestly I don’t understand why we begin playing with this slow pace. Walking and over passing. There’s no momentum at all.

Noni Madueke again the bright spark. Arsenal need to up the tempo. When they did at the end of the half it was creating chaos in the City box. Maybe they’ve been worried about the counter after the goal but need to step it up in the second half. Need more creativity in that midfield.

Can’t fault the effort from this young Northern Ireland team. Average age of 24 and didn’t look out of place against Germany. Even gave them some awkward moments.

The thing about the game yesterday is both teams weren’t great attacking. This narrative of Liverpool were the only team that wanted to win is nonsense. Their attack were as effective as ours. It was a cagey game and could quite as easily gone the other way.

Madueke was a definite bright spark in the game. Eze looks so good. He instantly lifted the quality. The frustration is I think Liverpool knew Arsenal could hurt them by the way they played. Unfortunately Arsenal didn’t see that themselves.

As much as I love Arteta that result is on him. Negative backwards football. Arsenal need to be braver. They won’t win anything with this attitude. Champions seize the moment and it was there for Arsenal. Liverpool looked nervous in first half but we didn’t sense it. They need to change this!

Also need to be giving Gyokeres more to run on to. It’s a wee bit like we don’t know how to play with a centre forward. Madueke has been really encouraging.

Arsenal look like they are trying to lure Liverpool to catch them on the break. Both teams showing a lot of respect for each other. Very cagey.

PGMOL are once again ruining the game. That’s a goal for Fulham. Even the reason they gave is wrong. Absolute joke

Well that was very enjoyable. Hopefully Saka and Odegaards injuries aren’t too bad. The squad depth is very pleasing and Gyökeres getting off the mark is so important.
