I was delighted to meet with my new independent Nightlife Taskforce today as we look to support and revitalise London’s nightlife scene.

Thanks to @London.gov.uk record £34m investment, over 100,000 young Londoners have accessed mentoring support.

They’ve told us the life-changing impact a trusted mentor can have on their mental health, as well as supporting them with personal skills, training, and employment. 4/5

More than one in three parents surveyed about the impact of Universal Free School Meals felt that their child enjoyed school more since the policy had been in place.

31% of families said their child’s mental wellbeing had improved since the policy came in. 3/5

We know that family worries about being able to access food can lead to poor mental health and wellbeing.

Today I’ve announced an additional £10m in funding to tackle rough sleeping and help more Londoners rebuild their lives away from the streets. In Lewisham, I saw first-hand the important work being done by our charity partner @stmungos.bsky.social
