Trans rights are human rights. In the wake of yesterday's Supreme Court ruling, we want to clearly and loudly affirm that I Am Loud stands with the trans and queer community in Scotland and globally. Your right to exist authentically cannot be legislated away. Transphobia has no place in the Scottish poetry scene; we will never tolerate it in our spaces and we condemn in the strongest terms any organisations and actions which make the queer community feel unwelcome and unsafe. We have always been honoured and proud to feature trans and queer poets on our stages and we look forward to continuing to showcase and support the brilliant gender diversity of our scene in future. In the post below we flag some organisations and initiatives spearheading advocacy and offering mental health support for anyone affected by yesterday's ruling. You are loved, you matter, and you are not alone.
