honestly for all the issues this old fella has it's still one of the best looking ones I've got. Just wish it could hold its gun up, I have it in about the same pose because there isn't a whole lot else you can do, lol

The MG Tallgeese 'Gundam Wing Endless Waltz' gunpla box, and several of its parts set aside on sticks for painting.

I've been meaning to start MG Tallgeese for a while and all the Gundam Wing talk pushed me over the edge on it. The plan isn't to fully paint it but I do want to convert it to the 'anime version' colour scheme. Except I also want to keep the yellow stuff as gold highlights.

The 30 Minutes Missions 'Wheel Mobile' model kit painted in similar colours to the RX-78-2 Gundam, in order to match the gunpla previously posted.

Also worth mentioning I built and painted the 30MM "Wheel Mobile" at the same time. Went for a similar colour scheme - unintentional coincidence that the...cockpit part (?) ended up looking a lot like the Core Fighter. Also, those panel lines were a good way to test out the enamel wash I made.

Pretty interested in this, I have a bootleg coming at some point this month (the Fat Cat upscaled RG RX-78) and I was worried about panel lining it. I've seen videos of people panel lining it with Tamiya accent with no issues but still. I could of course just paint it now that I have stuff for that.

The Best Mecha Collection RX-78-2 Gundam 'Revival Ver.' gunpla riding on the 30 Minutes Missions 'Wheel Mobile' model. Both are fully painted, the Gundam in the usual colors and the weird Segway thing painted to match the Gundam except with sick chrome exhaust pipes.

Fully painted, tried to keep it simple with as few mistakes as possible. I thought it would just be the EG slightly changed but it's actually got a lot of differences, love how it looks but boy does it ever not articulate much.

Just finished on normal, absolutely amazing. Looking forward to trying it on real hardware at some point.

It was a foot amputation and they actually cite training for your prosthetic as a specific use case for it. But yeah I guess it was just a little harder to use than he was expecting. I tested it out of curiosity and it was pretty tough but I have weird inner ear balance issues so who knows.

My roommate got one of these while waiting for his prosthetic but he didn't really use it much, it has a bit of a learning curve and is harder to use for heavier people. Seems really cool if you've got the motivation though.

I put like 40 games on my steam deck in preparation for a 13 hour flight to Japan then basically only played Tactical Breach Wizards

Using the Mr. Hobby paints branded as official Gundam colors and they look pretty nice! I'm getting the hang of thinning paints outside of just following recommendations - these two required very different levels of thinner despite being from the same line.

I played the demo when I was in the middle of Hundred Line which takes a similar approach, so it all made perfect sense to me.

Going to be fully painting this one just in the normal colours, no decals either just wanna keep it super simple. But I do have something else I'm building alongside it that should be pretty fun.

Next up, finally managed to get my hands on one of these goofy things. Right off the bat the manual is kinda amazing, has some little history lessons on how far gunpla technology has progressed. Also was surprised to see color separation for the head vulcans, which is an improvement over the EG.

I'd like to airbrush a couple more gunpla as practice, but my real goal is to combine a couple of the 30MM Armored Core 6 kits into an approximation of my 'real' AC. This is a combination of Nightfall and Liger Tail - still deciding on a paint scheme, but it's nice I can preview it in-game.

Quite possible you've played it already but I'm a huge fan of Against the Storm. Roguelite-ish city builder I guess is how I'd describe it.

My first time custom painting gunpla - I didn't base the colour scheme on anything in particular, just thought it'd look cool. Made a lot of mistakes while learning, so I ended up incorporating them into the weathering.

The head top piece of the SDCS Zaku-II gunpla painted black with an orange stripe down the middle, and some black paint bleeding on the edges.

Damn, I was trying for an orange stripe down the middle and was super careful with the tape, but the black bled under it.

I almost painted over it in a fit of rage but...it kinda looks cool, like chipped paint. This gives me some ideas for weathering on the model, maybe that's what I'll do.

Got held up a little since I needed to buy some supplies but the hobby store was out. Well underway now. My third attempt with that chrome came out markedly better than the previous so pretty stoked for that too. Next up will be a gloss coat then testing out an enamel wash for panel lines.

I've asked this question to a few folks I know and my best guess is it gets filed into the same headspace as a flight sim or hardcore racing sim, whether it deserves that or not. It's extremely different from Armored Core but you'd think I'd see a little shared interest, 1 in 20 even, but no.

Yeah, I have some of their aqua gloss and it is what they recommend to seal it in. Going to do that in a bit.

Tried out alclad chrome for the first time. Took some trial and error, it was a bit trickier than I expected getting a truly glossy black base (using Tamiya LP-1). But pretty happy with the result on this part, at least. The heat hawk didn't come out as well but eh, gotta learn somehow.

I had only seen it in Gundam Evolution before watching Zeta relatively recently and it was like 3 times bigger than I expected lol

A piece of the SDCS Zaku-II gunpla accidentally cut in half. To add insult to injury the part I cut out vanished so I had to repurpose another piece of runner and measure it to fit. There's also a jar of Tamiya extra thin cement.

The piece from the previous picture now Frankensteined together and in place to test the fit. Sanded it down a little to be sure. Will probably put some joint strengthener stuff on those tabs before assembly too.

And speaking of screwups, have to laugh that the first time I ever goofed like this was a kit rated for 8+. I mistook a joining section for a part of the runner while I was setting aside parts for painting. Little bit of plastic cement surgery and it's fine, not pretty but you can't see it anyways.

Next up is the SDCS Zaku-II, but I plan on doing a fully painted build this time. Don't know how it'll turn out but worst case, it's about as cheap a kit as you can get here.
