Part 3 today! With the Tunes reunited as a proper basketball team, LeBron has very little time to train them. And they don't know what Al-G has in mind for the big game... Cheating. Lots, and lots, and lots of cheating. And more shameless self-promo on WB's part...

My review of Space Jam: A New Legacy will continue tomorrow, with the start of the basketball game between the newly-reformed Tune Squad and Al-G's Goon Squad (...that name has aged interestingly).

I do like the Scream series, but right now it feels like the mini 15-second clip/trailer plays before every. Single. YouTube video. I watch. Getting tired of seeing the same thing over and over.

Funny thing about the review of Free Guy that I am currently writing: When I started writing it, I ended up convinced that I'd need more than 4 parts, because I took so long setting up the scene in Part 1. Then, writing flowed so well for the rest that I can still keep it all down to 4 articles!

New month, new movie review! Ohhh, it's CYBERSpace Jam! In it, LeBron James' son wants to be a game dev and has already created a basketball video game, which is centerstage for a decent chunk of the film; so this counts for my video game movie reviews.

Another of my favorite Oners is the fight across the town of Bagghar from the animated Tintin movie released in 2011. Two minutes of pure chaos as heroes and villains brawl (and partly destroy) an entire town.

Seriously, that film is also very much worth watching.

Alright, I've raged at Balatro's Black Deck Gold Stake enough, time to do some more writing.

...Holy crap do I love the 2-minute Oner that opens Free Guy. Such a great way to set the stage, show the video game world, and display just how insane it already is.

Random observation about me working on my blog: Sometimes when picking screenshots out of a movie, when I think I got a good one for a paragraph... and then, a little later, an even better shot comes up to illustrate my point.

It happens! Kinda fun when it does, even if it means more work.

Aaaaanyway, the weeeeird thing is that the Rick & Morty cameo in Space Jam: A New Legacy's French Canadian dub has them speak with a noticeable Quebec accent, which makes the Looney Tunes movie a super-weird case of evidence that something DID happen, yet really did not last.

...mainly because we were already so accustomed to the French voices of South Park that the joual just felt downright weird.

The other adult animated show that tried and failed was Rick & Morty; the dub was actually good, but interest didn't last, so they never dubbed past... Season 2 I think?
