05.02.2026 21:01 β π 7 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Oh trust me - Jon knows Lori us awesome!
06.02.2026 02:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can confirm there are no purple seats (Premium Plus!) on any narrow body aircraft π
05.02.2026 21:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@loriara.bsky.social is the transportation QUEEN!
05.02.2026 18:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0RJs? Nope.
E170s and E175s? Oh yeah.
I was on an older Republic plane tonight and zero complaints!
05.02.2026 02:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Unpopular opinion:
I think a premium economy seat on an E175 is one of the best narrow body rides in the sky.
I would put it up there with the 321neo.
Ample leg room and shoulder room. Nicely sized windows. 10/10 would E175 again.
Today is a great day to support journalism you trust.
04.02.2026 22:46 β π 42 π 8 π¬ 3 π 1I thought you all just might need some boops
04.02.2026 22:50 β π 21 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I know itβs not the same but you belong right here with us plane nerds
04.02.2026 21:37 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One of the first things I did when I moved to DC 21 years ago was subscribe to the print edition of the Washington Post.
Sad day.
Thatβs what the plane home is for!
04.02.2026 20:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just pulled my first all nighter since college.
It was fueled by coffee and gummies, and not the good kind.
I have a vague recollection of eating a bag of Cheetos at 2:30 AM.
There is only one acceptable lunch option at ORD.
I am really gutted for my friends at the Washington Post.
I guess I can cancel my subscription now. I have no need for a newspaper without reporters.
And then someone could use the chair to hold their shoveled out parking spot!
04.02.2026 04:35 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@airlineflyer.net it is 12,000Β° in my hotel room in Chicago. And the window doesnβt open.
I have turned off the HVAC
Also that 321neo is so so nice. Such a great ride.
04.02.2026 04:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ohh I wanna come! I will take a domestic widebody #WeekendatBlaines

04.02.2026 01:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me in December to my colleagues in Chicago: βSee you all in the spring when it warms up!β
Me now:
This is DCA!
03.02.2026 14:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs warmer there than it is here π¬
03.02.2026 14:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0First business trip of the year, and I am so out of practice I forgot my winter hat and my water bottle.
Luckily just a quick hop to ORD for a few daysβ¦
This is my A319 - has been a hot minute since I flew on one!
Same issue in Alexandria - every intersection in our pedestrian friendly neighborhood looks like this
03.02.2026 12:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The machine at IAD - and only IAD - has been hating my boots. I just proactively take them off now.
03.02.2026 00:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The FAA finalized its 25-hour CVR rule this morning. Any aircraft manufactured after 16 May 2026 operating under Part 121 (ie commercial ops) with 30+ seats must include a 25-hour CVR.
Retrofits of existing planes will *NOT* be required.

This is so excellent! I love airports that have that program. Also glad the delayed flight wasnβt mine π
CLE hasnβt changed a bit since my childhood lol
I dunno how theyβre opening schools here tomorrow. Sidewalks are hit or miss and intersections are basically uncrossable on foot. #Snowcrete
02.02.2026 00:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There were kids ice skating on the snowcrete at Mt Vernon Community School yesterday!
