CΓ©line et Julie vont en bateau - a very screenshottable film, though screenshots of course don't do justice to how joyous it is to see it unfold. Very close to something I would find annoying, but somehow Rivette and co. pull it off. It's wonderfully participatory, and in part about this very nature

The bar im in is playing 90s and 2000s eurodance hits. Surely this is the most horrid genre of music

Student Prince in Old Heidelbergβ€”a wonderful film. The second half redeems any extent to which the first half might’ve felt saccharine--I hope to some day experience european student life as rendered by lubitsch. I’ll definitely be drinking beer with friends tonight.

Just so gorgeus. Helsinki Philharmonic offers a greatly discounted price for zoomers, so ill see them perform Dvorak 9 next week for just 3,5€!

10 favorite first watches of the year. Didn't have a lot of time to watch films this year but still managed to see some great ones.

I barely remember anything of this film’s contents, but I have a vague yet warm memory of catching it on tv with my dad and brother in some hotel room and having a great laugh. In a way this makes it the most peak film of all

Remember the Night - Perhaps it's thanks to Leisen, or maybe I was in particularly sentimental mood, but I enjoyed this more than most of Sturges' work. Stanwyck is perfect

The Guitry is excellent. The Stroheim posting is making we want to finally check out his films

Ford's Pilgrimage. Now shares a space in my mind reserved for Sunrise and L'Atalante, exemplary of all I treasure in film.
