Hmm. If your car drives 20km/l it is NOT the same as 20 * 10^4 dm/dm^3 or 2*10^5 dm^-2. The reason is that the 20km is a distance while the 1l is 1l of gasoline. Yes, that is also 1 dm^3, but still gasoline and not distance.

The real question is: Which physical property is typically measured in kg/cm? Maybe wire density?
