"In some locations they have added congestion to the local area, but nearly all of them have been huge successes. We do need to continue to actively review them – there's been a huge amount of listening to communities and tweaks to LTNs"

The black car has been parked outside the shops on Rosendale Rd, unmoved for about a year πŸ˜”

The larger white van has parked illegally in the middle of the road, forcing the other into oncoming traffic πŸ˜”

But apparently parking controls are bad for business and don't help with road safety. Hmm ... πŸ€”

How do LTNs reduce road danger πŸ€”

Stopping rat runs vastly reduces huge volumes of traffic making turns across uncontrolled junctions and heavily used active travel routes.

Such as the continuous footways and cycle route shown here on Dalmore Rd / A205.

Let's reduce road danger and save lives πŸ’š

I’ve campaigned alongside Roadpeace for many years. Their work supporting bereaved families and seriously injured victims of collisions on the road is essential, especially as the numbers of people still being killed and injured each year is devastatingly high.

The govt reforms cannot come soon enough and must be bolder in tackling dangerous driving πŸ’š

Yesterday I spend an inhuman amount of time on the 205 bus mostly because drivers are allowed to park in the bus lane. Why? The biggest single thing TfL/LAs could do for bus times is London-wide removal of all parking in bus lanes.
