Today is the first time I’ve felt scared of being arrested, just for showing up. #FreePalestine @stwc.bsky.social

See - I can't stop thinking about it! There's something akin to when children cover their eyes and think it makes them invisible. Except that's cute.

16.07.2025 13:07 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just make ensure they have time, space and permission to play throughout their everyday lives. Oh, and enable them to walk and cycle for everyday journeys too.

16.07.2025 12:56 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I spend far too much time wondering about this too - especially when they do it on double yellows. Think it's a weird combination of protecting own vehicle, being 'considerate' to other drivers and saying, "I'm not really parking here, don't give me a ticket".

Just kidding, stay inside and stop bothering the neighbourhood and drivers by playing on your street
Last weekend in Bristol, children on bikes took over their city centre! They were seen and heard. They had a blast.
But the aim of #KidicalMass is also serious. This is not the everyday norm. Children across the UK need #SafeStreetsNow.

So much joy in today’s #kidicalmass Bristol ride, we desperately need more space for kids to cycle safely, but we can have fun while working towards change . @aliceferguson.bsky.social @bristolcycling.bsky.social

30.05.2025 20:42 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This makes me sad every time I walk past. Local school playground - an increasingly precious safe, car-free space for children - is opened up at half-term and weekends for cars, but not for children to play. What message does this send? @playingout.bsky.social
30.05.2025 13:40 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Of course he is - which anyway is undermined by so much information being released. But the car wasn’t driving itself.
30.05.2025 13:35 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Unbelievable. Even when a car has been deliberately used as a weapon in a horrific violent crime with tens of victims (including children) *and* the perpetrator is named, the BBC can’t break the habit of using the passive tense.

Good luck, especially to students getting from halls and bus stop to Matthew Boulton College across the dual carriageway A47. 🤞🤞🤞
