It's not antisemitic. it is however stupid. When either side quotes this, it damages any chance of the two-state solution that is desperately needed.

I don't as a rule protest. I respect your right to do so as long as it's within the law and support democracy. I do take action by standing in local elections, and being active in my party. I also support a number of positive actions locally to de-escalate tensions. I find this more productive.

I believe you miss the point. You either believe in true free speech altogether or you don't (I don't). If you believe some things can't be said, you believe in some level of censorship. Someone needs to decide and police. That decision can't be based on whether you agree or not with the issue.

I actually agree. I support the right of PA to challenge. I support Liberty and Amnesty supporting this challenge. I am disturbed by potential misuse of these powers.

I also think the demonstrations take away from the real issue.

For the record:

Palestine is under unlawful invasion and the victims of genocide by the Israel who are committing unspeakable war crimes.

We need to keep campaigning and demonstrating until UK & the international community act.

I support all peaceful demonstration and even disobedience, but need to protect democracy and law and order.

If the sign said "I support violent and criminal damage of military assets as a means of protest." That could be seen as incitement.

What did the sign say? Before I make a judgement I need more detail please. All this video tells me for sure is an old person got arrested.

My posts on this are going to be very inconsistent. I have cards & phones that track everything I do, so don't really mind having an extra id card. However I understand why people object by principle. Mostly tho, I have no idea why labour, with a majority as they have, would choose this battle?

I find this labour party to be so confusing. We collectively voted to get the Tories out and delivered them a huge majority. I don't think ID cards were high on anyone's agenda. Why waste such a majority and political capital on this? It won't win reform votes. Why? No really. Why?

I don't. Nor will I give wetherspoons a penny.

Are they? That's a view point sure. But I think there are other interpretations. The government needs to keep a level of order. There is a balance between legal and ethical protest and civic unrest. Most people 'arrested' are not charged.

That's really heartwarming. Hate can't win if we choose Hope and Love. We need to stand together. We resisted this in the 30s, with a mix of humour and strength. We may need to do it again.

This must stop. The majority need to stand up and say not in our name. This is not what real patriots are. This is not what my England is. This is not what the union is. This is not what these flags represent. How dare they.
