Details, detials details... The Topps 75 logos are celebratory without overwhelming the cards, great work by Topps. On the 1991 parallels the Topps 75 features a foil glow.

I prefer to spend my money on singles, maybe I'll hobby box this year, but most likely I'll pick and poke at retail.

The thick team-color pinstripe looks a lot better than I was anticipating and the texture/pattern that fades as it moves left to right adds depth. Team-color stitching as the left photo frame compliments the pinstripe well. A simple gradient and some linework look great on the position plate.

When 2026 Series One debut, my first impression was that I wasn't going to be a fan. I wanted to look at it and see it cartoonish, I tried not to be a fan.

But I really like this year's design. Bold color, excellent legibility, and great overall design make for an appealing base Topps product.

I should also add, these four packs also net: 20 RCs, 1 additional foil, 3 1991 inserts (Seyia, Manny Machado, Pedro), 5 Stars of MLB, 3 Titans of the Game (Witt, Ohtani, James Wood).

Also decided to try a little bit of Series One tonight and picked up 4 hangers at Walmart. Wasn’t expecting much, but got some decent stuff!

I’m not heartbroken, CES still has time but doesn’t look like a superstar so this only cost a couple of bucks, but it still stinks!

Use your blue tape folks! Got this today which had fallen out of the toploader/sleeve, bounced around the (oversized for the card) envelope and took damage to all four corners.

The black Trout is, well, not very bright, but hey, Trout /99.

Love yellow refractors, mostly because of the way they tend to find their way to bargain trolls like me. Really like this Trea and we’ll see what becomes of Causey who has swing and miss stuff, time will tell if he has enough of it.

How much better would that Hunter look if it said FUTURE STARS like the base Topps? If you care about that type of thing, the Maile is a bookend, 01/50. I saw Luke hitting at Kentucky in 2012 and thought he would have a shot. Parts of ten big league seasons ain’t a bad living.

Cam is falling down prospect lists and his prices are following, so I buy! Sometimes even decent autos will filter down to a low-end buyer like me, as was the case with this Lodolo.

And I also have no idea what day of the week it is.

Gold border stars will always have a place in my collection, a real standard. Harris was an opening bid special, so quite cheap. A couple low-numbered Reds to round it out.

Comparing patches and logoman 1/1s from modern prospects to iconic cards of the 50s, 60s etc. is like comparing apples to space shuttles.

This video is my favorite part of playing "Nirvana or Aneurism."

Kris Bryant was supposed to walk backwards to 500 home runs and the Hall of Fame 40-50 longballs at a time in the cold Coors air. Haters will of course say his bank account can dry his tears, and while that is true it really is a shame to see that type of potential career derail.
