Oh, it's Galapa because Galapagos tortoises, why did it take that so long for my brain to realize?

I assume other creators of story worlds must have some sort of analogous process. I wonder what it's like for other people. How does everybody else decide what should be real physics, action movie physics, or anything goes? I'm curious.

Thinking about the Halleyverse (the universe of my AP campaign Halley's Children) and how I've outlined certain things about the way things work, specifically what I'll allow to be hand-wavey sci-fi bullshit, what I'll stretch for narrative, and what I'll insist be realistic.

TBH it barely counts as an interaction at all, I didn't so much as make eye contact. But it was memorable.

I was at a comic/game shop in Austin, want to say it was around 2005, and I saw Robin Williams there, checking out the latest issues. I managed to keep all my freaking out to myself and outwardly continued my own shopping. I believe after he left the cashier and I shared a small 'holy shit' convo.

I remember clearly many years ago, when I was out at fighting practice and someone told me about The Adventure Zone. I remember being super dubious about the whole concept.

And now I make APs. Funny how things happen.
