He has a cat door installed in his bedroom window. When I put him out, he comes right back in via his door. Hard to blame him, it *sucks* out there.

Fancy Phidippus richmani jumping spider lad hanging out on a lichen-covered oak branch; he's extremely floofy and has red stripes on his face and markings which look like human teeth on his chelicerae.

Day 6 of my 2025 Favorites: There's a particular oak in a particular spot upon which for some reason I've found an adult male Phidippus richmani every year for the past 3. Little things like this bring me joy. And he looks like that 🥹
