I also give myself a pass on feeling guilty about how many treats (including peanut butter) they get on days like that. Sometimes you use all the kongs and puzzle toys you have to keep everyone occupied!

22.09.2025 19:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The right to speak our minds and to disagree with each other - to disturb, even - is at the very heart of what it means to be a free people. It is not to be denied. Not by violence, not by the abuse of governmental power, nor by acts of corporate cowardice. As a Guild, we stand united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent. If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution. What we have signed on to - painful as it may be at times - is the freeing agreement to disagree. Shame on those in government who forget this founding truth. As for our employers, our words have made you rich. Silencing us impoverishes the whole world. The WA stands with Jimmy Kimmel and his writers.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.
All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

They diagnose cancers while still treatable. They help women decide what birth control works for them. They help those working through mental health challenges.
Defunding them just harms people who already struggle to find places to get care.
Make no mistake, the SCOTUS decision about birthright citizenship IS ALSO ABOUT *birthright citizenship.*
The Court is using nationwide injunctions as the tail, wagging the dog, to take us back to an Antebellum view of citizenship.
That way led to war once.

I rarely post personal things. But I need to talk about my 4-year-old niece, Hope.
She has a rare disease. A drug called elamipretide has helped her survive.
But the FDA recently denied its approval.
Now, her health hangs in the balance.
Please share her story & urge the FDA to reconsider. 🧵

"We are devastated and heartbroken at the loss of our parents, Melissa and Mark. They were the bright lights at the center of our lives, and we can't believe they are gone. Their love for us was boundless. We miss them so much. "We want everyone to know that we are both safe and with loved ones. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received, and we appreciate your respect for our family's privacy as we grieve. "Our family would like to thank law enforcement for their swift action that saved others and for the coordination across communities that led to the arrest of the man who murdered our parents. We especially would like to thank the officers who were first on the scene to our parents' home and their heroic attempts to rescue our mom and dad. "Our parents touched so many lives, and they leave behind an incredible legacy of dedication to their community that will live on in us, their friends, their colleagues and co-workers, and every single person who knew and loved them. "If you would like to honor the memory of Mark and Melissa, please consider the following: • Plant a tree. • Visit a local park and make use of their amenities, especially a bike trail. • Pet a dog. A golden retriever is ideal, but any will do. • Tell your loved ones a cheesy dad joke and laugh about it. • Bake something — bread for Mark or a cake for Melissa, and share it with someone. • Try a new hobby and enjoy learning something. • Stand up for what you believe in, especially if that thing is justice and peace. "Hope and resilience are the enemy of fear. Our parents lived their lives with immense dedication to their fellow humans. This tragedy must become a moment for us to come together. Hold your loved ones a little closer. Love your neighbors. Treat each other with kindness and respect. The best way to honor our parents' memory is to do something, whether big or small, to make our community just a little better for someone else."
