Agree that pro coaches for 5 yr olds is way too much! Too much for 8 yr olds too. The difference between the two. #1 travel: 2 practices weekly 6 months, 3 months of local games, maybe winter league of 8 games $200-800. #2 Club: 3 practices week, 9 month season, longish travel, $3000-6000.

Some distinction needs to be made in the comments between Travel Soccer & Club Soccer. Travel soccer tends to be volunteer/non-professional. By travel they mean local towns in your area. A better name would be town teams. Club soccer $$$ & coached by paid pros. This distinction needs to be made.

Can you describe any of the new habits? I'm living with two teens, one on the way to university, and I teach 18-22s. I am trying to think of new habits formed, but I have to say, despite a lot of time spent adjacent to young people, I can't describe these habits.
