Republicans scream about voter ID. Fine. So why aren’t Democrats launching a full-blown...nationwide effort to help every eligible voter GET one? If the GOP wants to make IDs the battleground...then Goddamnit...equip people for the fight. This should be a no-brainer.

I do have a "real ID" tho. NYS accepted my very old white-writing-on-black-background (mimeo?) copy of my birth certificate. Would it be accepted for a passport or federal voter ID? Idk, I guess I have to find out. I have voted in every election for the last 55 yrs.
