Ok, let's try this again...different subject, another graphite study. I feel a lot better this time.

I tried a graphite study of an Amano piece.

I like his work. It's very appealing to me. But I think I've realized that while I like his work, I don't want to make work like he does.

They're REALLY trying to will this thing into not being a failed money laundering scheme that is threatening to crash the global economy.

It'd be funnier if the consequences weren't so dire.

Been a while since I felt good about my own work.

I feel that. My Cintiq’s colors aren’t as good as my EIZO either, so it was kind of a no brainer for me.

I have a Cintiq 21UX and an Intuos 3 in my setup. Did you switch back to a graphics for posture reasons or something? That's why I ended up getting the Intuos—hunching over my Cintiq kills my neck.

Fall leaves are so pretty...until you have to pick them up

I remember when I had to do one of these on a big 18" x 24" sheet back in high school. We did self-portraits for that project.

Took me 5 1-hour classes to get even remotely close to this...guess I never realized how much faster I got at this kind of thing.

I’ve taken so long with art and haven’t improved much…but the idea of letting it go makes me feel like I’m dying.

My copy of The C Programming Language that just arrived today is teal and magenta...weird. And the back says it's The C Answer Book?? But then it looks like the normal book inside...how odd.

Today is definitely a break day...my head hurts so badly

I've been stuck at what feels like my skill ceiling with visual art for so, so long, and it's downright infuriating. I can whittle my day away and come away with a musical sketch or an entire outline for a story, but my art feels like a dead end.

Maybe I'm chasing after the wrong passion...
