The political spectrum is not linear. The garbage falls to the bottom. The vast majority of people in our country are in the middle and can agree on most issues. The further you get from center, the people who are financially incentivized push and pull people towards to downward slopes of ideology.

I think stupidity and insanity are good words to start with. The media are constantly focusing on who said what about the Emperor's clothes instead of reporting the fact that this fat sociopath is naked.
