Went to Drag Queen Bingo to benefit Relay for Life last night. It was great fun, the only down side was the actual Bingo. I had no luck and I would have had more fun if I hadn't played and just took pics.

On October 10 I got a chance to photograph the Barstow College Foundation’s Cigars under the Stars fundraiser. Shooting events in Barstow is interesting for me, I know so many people around town that it takes a bit of a family vibe.

The first artist I visited on my second trip to the Highway 62 Art Tour was Gubby Peck. She does great work with metal. Her shop is right on Highway 62 in Downtown Yucca Valley.

The opening act for the Halloween show was AJJ. They put on a great, wild show that was heightened by the fact that they dressed as Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Went to Newberry's Springs’ Pistachio Festival yesterday. There was a great turn out and a lot of great vendors. One presentation that I enjoyed was put on by a local karate school.

Last night I went to Pappy and Harriet's to see Murder by Death and AJJ. The bands dressed up for Halloween with MBD dressing as various cryptic creatures. You haven't lived until you have been sung to by a blind Loch Ness Monster.

Recently it has been hard to be optimistic with the fascist regime in office but I just got back from the No Kings protest in Joshua Tree and the day was filled so much positive vibes and smartly directed anger that I am hopeful again for the future.
