Whenever a news article opens with “Labour are being criticised ….” You just know the rest of the article will be THEIR OWN manufactured criticism and not actually the opinion of most decent people.

More people from working class backgrounds work in the lower paid end of adult health & social care. If you don’t want to “feed other people’s kids” make sure you tell them when they’re about to change your adult nappy, so they can leave you festering while they look after decent people instead 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tbf if you’re over-entitled, can’t / don’t appreciate what other people actually contribute to your life, and like the thought of starving kids, then this was a pretty bad budget. For the rest of us it was pretty good tbh. (& I’m an EV driving micro-business owner!)

I have an electric car - I’m very happy to pay a mileage charge, because I use roads and they’re a public good. I already do my bit for the planet, now I can do a bit more for society.

Beth Rigby - making stuff up and pretending it’s news is the very worst kind of journalism. Sloppy, lazy, pathetic scaremongering.

I was teaching at uni during Covid - it was impossible to explain to the non-teaching SLT that you couldn’t just take the f2f lesson and deliver it online. The extra work, including trying to home school 2 kids was just exhausting…even before the stress & illness!
