good idea, you can get addons for UVs (if you are in blender) as those will help you a lot given how bad blender uvs are by default. everything else, its just practice

I would recommend learning how to do stuff with the tools your software provides, and then once you've done a couple projects look for addons or plugins, but always master the basics first
