Recent pushback to women in combat is the same old argument used against the WASP and other servicewomen after World War II; the first women in U.S. military flight training in the '70s; and the women seeking combat status for duty they were already performing in the '90s.

When pilots wish one another well, they bid them "blue skies." Hoping that's an omen for the future
