No need for an invite code to Blacksky any more.

So last night I migrated @gregpak.net from Bluesky to Blacksky's myatproto.social server for non-Black users! A few thoughts on the process for anyone thinking about this...

Another update!
- We've added small tweaks to the UI
- Added link to the migration guide - docs.blacksky.community/migrating-to...
- And improved the migration experience for very large accounts

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

tektite does support authenticating by did.

VPN shouldn't matter.

I recommend using a computer/laptop and the chrome browser.

Pdsmoover.com advance options with everything unselected except for "Migrate PLC Record"

Fill out the same information > go to advance options> unselect everything except "Migrate PLC Record"

app.wafrn.net is another option that is somehow native to both activitypub and atproto and they seem to have a good time.

pdsmoover.com by @baileytownsend.dev , @tektite.cc, and atpairport.com by @knotbin.com are PDS migration tools and the devs for each are very helpful

That was enough for me to get over my inertia and move to @blackskyweb.xyz using @tektite.cc

Also everyone making the move: if you can afford to set up a monthly donation, do so

4. then try migrating again
