I am an educator who HAD to go in because my district didn't call for a snow day, and the roads are dangerous. It's not worth it.

Also would like to state, donating a canned good was an admission option for our event tonight, and any paid admission is going to be donated to Harvesters, a food bank in KC.

We will be donating 8 large boxes of food/hygiene products, as well $200.

So it's actually Trans Day of Remembrance, which is tomorrow. It is a day of mourning in which my community honors the Trans folk that have died or been killed in the last year

This showcase is close to my heart. I feel like it's a love song of resistance for my community...but I also feel a deep sense of sadness--the emptiness due to those we lost.
