Last night in Chicago, Vice President Kamala Harris just gave me the pep talk and advice I never knew I needed. 🥹
Our generation is ready to lead and I couldn’t be more grateful for her passion for our country and the trail she’s blazed through for all of us.
As I said on @MSNBC: Being young isn’t a barrier, it’s about meeting the moment with hope, urgency, and vision. ✨
The good fight isn’t easy, but it’s worth it.

08.09.2025 21:30 — 👍 34 🔁 7 💬 6 📌 0I just had a chance to talk to Missouri State Rep @rayreedmo.bsky.social who spent the weekend+ sitting in the Missouri house chambers to bring attention to their redistricting fight.
I asked him why did he and Jeremy Dean and Elizabeth Fuchs do this if it’s not gonna change the outcome.
1/
@rayreedmo.bsky.social, Jeremy Dean, and Elizabeth Fuchs hosted a sit-in inside the Missouri legislative chamber all weekend to protest Trump and Republicans’ craven gerrymandering scheme.
Democrats won’t back down when democracy is under threat.
ATTENTION!!!!!
Today, @theweekendmsnbc.bsky.social had @rayreedmo.bsky.social and Jeremy Dean on to discuss their sit in the Missouri House chambers that has been going on for A FEW DAYS. Over gerrymandering and an attempt to stop citizen lead ballot measures.

Missouri Dems, if you aren’t following @rayreedmo.bsky.social , you should!
He’s causing good trouble in the Missouri House and helping to lead a sit in protesting the unconstitutional redistricting.
Glad he’s my rep💪💪💪
Missouri House Reps @rayreedmo.bsky.social, Elizabeth Fuchs, and Jeremy Dean single-handedly organized a sit-in on the Missouri House floor after the House speaker refused to recognize their concerns about redistricting. It's been going on for nearly 70 hours. PLS...SHARE AND THANK THEM!

This week, my US House Rep Wesley Bell quibbled in front of a heated crowd about what the definition of “genocide” is. Can someone please send him this? Because it’s this.

Speaker Rivas couldn’t have been more gracious and the California state Capitol couldn’t be more beautiful— innovation happens in California and I can’t wait for what’s to come.
Donald Trump should resign.

The road to breaking the GOP supermajority runs through Springfield. Let’s keep him in the fight!

Democrats have a story to tell, just gotta tell it.
When you really came from St. Louis.
Raised in St. Louis.
You feel like you trailblaze for St. Louis.
I love where I’m from and I’ll do everything in my power to fight for it.
I wake up everyday thinking about what’s best for St. Louis.
16.03.2025 01:59 — 👍 29 🔁 11 💬 1 📌 0I ran for office so that other young people, especially young black kids, could see themselves in their government and understand that they have a stake in everything that goes on in the capitol building.
They’re what keeps me going.
It’s an honor to welcome my friend, and @democrats.org chairman Ken Martin back to St. Louis!
Democrats are competing everywhere and I’m so proud to be in this good fight! Let’s get to work!
Missouri is a former slave state— It’s an honor to walk in this building everyday.
Happy Black History Month.
Missouri Dem lawmaker Ray Reed: Do you feel comfortable with the KKK endorsing your idea?
GOP lawmaker who sponsored bill: “I don’t have an opinion…”
Nice work to @rayreedmo.bsky.social for calling out the stodgy old Republican on his bad idea.
Growing up black, you hear throughout your life all the things that you’re not. Now, I can say with certainty what I am: A member of the House of Representatives.
Happy Black History Month.
Had a great time having coffee this morning with my former boss and friend Governor Nixon. Everyday it’s a blessing to serve our communities and I’m so thankful for his leadership and wisdom.

10 years ago, I was in high school writing about Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
Now, I’m a member of the Missouri House of Representatives and while many want to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion, I invite them to study the teachings of Atticus Finch.
A hope of mine when I ran for office was that young people, especially young black men, and everyone else who knows what it feels like to be left out, can see themselves in their government.
I want each of them to know that they have a stake in everything that goes on here.
