I'm with George on this. "agreed to seek" does not mean "agreed to". Reminds me of an argument I had with my partner when I said "we should look at buying a new car". He interpreted it as "we should buy a new car" and I told him I said no such thing!

Thanks for this. I've believed the same thing for a while now regarding Texas and the Republican party. Once they lose Texas, it's pretty much over for them. One thing that I can't figure out about Texas is why Democrats don't do better in state-wide races. Not one D Senator or Governor in a while.

I mentioned this before, but my LinkedIn timeline is sad story after sad story of old colleagues either losing their jobs or having an incredibly difficult time finding a new job. These are experienced people who can't find any job. Other than stocks, other data points don't paint a rosy picture.

I don't get it. I'm not in the world of Finance, but I gotta believe the corp types providing "guidance" are not being completely honest with the public and that is propping up the market. It feels like the 2008 financial crisis when rating agencies were not being honest about their ratings.

I think you're right. I think many who provide "guidance" are hoping we don't notice that they're lying. This does not look good.

They've spent more time coming up with a "strategy" for the Epstein Files than they have for a global tariff scheme.

The problem is it’s probably too late. They know he’s unpopular so that’s why they’re desperate to re-gerrymander Texas and other Red States. If they succeed, it doesn’t matter much that his supporters are over him.

This Administration as spent more time strategizing about the Epstein Files than it did about creating a coherent global tariff strategy prior to Liberation Day.
