I've thought a lot about this too--he's going to face a VERY hostile NYPD and city establishment, especially on the Council. Very tough needle to thread. Needs some early popular policy wins and a flawless handling of first safety "crisis."

I occasionally log back on for sports news and I'm met with videos of murders, stabbings etc. It's a God awful hellscape that is normalizing what was and should be remain a dark underbelly not consumed by the general public.
