There are many PACs in the US that advocate for foreign countries, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, India, Armenia, Cuba, China & others. I think we would agree that it be great if we could rid the influence of all PACs in our elections.

If Trump decides to attack Iran, the sole reason is his megalomania. He wants to be the central focus of the world’s attention. It’s how he gets his jollies. That’s the primary rationale.

And how, pray tell, does Israel control American’s policies? And what policies are you referring to? And how is this orchestrated by AIPAC? Yes, AIPAC contributes to many politicians. But so do many other PACs. So why the singular focus on AIPAC?

Is that the only PAC that backs him? Call them out too. There are also many other PACs supporting politicians across the board. AIPAC is just 1 of many & not the most dominant one. Dean, there are so many Jews who are anti-Bibi, anti-occupation, pro-2 states. Yet the rhetoric employed excludes us.

If you advocated for abolishing ICE & rejecting PAC money, I’d agree. Nobody votes w/o ID. Every polling place has voter rolls that are checked. When I go to vote I sign in & my signature is checked w/ what is on record. What the GOP wants to do is add several layers of ID, such as driver licenses which many city residents don’t have, to throw out legitimate voters.

Jeffries understands. His rhetoric goes back & forth from being strong to being much less so. His main concern & job is keeping his caucus in the House united, so he is aware that he can’t get out in front of the entire caucus. That is why he often couches his rhetoric.

I agree with you, not everything is a holocaust. But Walz didn’t make that analogy. His analogy was to Nazi rule, & he was making the pretty accurate point that if left unchecked, Trump & MAGA rule will descend to that level of madness.

I don’t understand the outrage at Gov Walz’s remarks. It was not disrespectful to either Anne Frank’s legacy or Jewish trauma during the Holocaust. Walz was clearly making the case that the path being pursued by the Trump administration has analogy to The fascism of the 1930s.
